Prototype Installation
About mid-way through the Development Stage, we install a Prototype at your premises.
The Prototype should enable you to navigate through the screens and reports using the menus. Not all options will be operational, but you should be able to assess look-and-feel and give some early feedback. You should also be able to start setting up the ‘master tables’ (E.g. price lists)
Final Installation
Once System Testing is complete, we release it to you for your own 'User-Acceptance' Testing.
One the Test Period has been completed, and any reported bugs fixed, the system moves into annual support (if you so wish).
Future Installations
Future installations may be required for bug-fixes or enhancements.
The Installation Process
Update Application on Server
We have a very simple update procedure, for amendments and bug fixes
You simply download from an emailed web link to your server
Release Procedure
In a live environment, we recommend that for each release you get one or more users to test the system first, ideally with test transactions, before release to the main body of users.
We have a separate Administrator menu to make this a very simple process.
Re-distribution Procedure
Once you have approved the update, the administrator can release the new application to all other users, through the Administration Menu
Once released, users receive the latest copy on their PC’s automatically, when they next start the system.
