SAGE LINKS

Linking your in-house system to SAGE Accounts (Line 50 or 100)

Why Link to Sage?

For many companies, the mechanics of most accounting transactions, such as cash receipts and nominal ledger journals, are relatively standard. But in some accounting areas, such as sales invoicing and stock control, the requirements can be much more specific to a particular company or industry.

Enter a dual software approach. As a registered Sage Developer, we can build seamless links to Sage from your in-house specialist software (E.g. a bespoke sales invoicing system). The cost advantages of off-the-shelf package software (i.e. Sage) can be combined with the flexibility of a bespoke or industry-specific system.

If required, we can also write a complete bespoke system for you (E.g. sales invoicing), before linking this into Sage. For larger companies, we can extend this system still further to cover multiple sites with automatic synchronization.

We adopt the following procedures:-

·        Detailed Outline Quote

Based on preliminary discussions, a Proposal and Detailed Outline Quote is provided. The quote is approximate, but you can expect it to be reasonably accurate. The project is broken down into two stages - Specification Stage and Development Stage.

·        Specification Stage

This document will set out the Business Objectives, briefly outline key elements of your business, and then provide a detailed system design. Working closely with you, we evolve the design to achieve a good fit with the day-to-day running of the business.

At completion of the Specification Stage, GRH will upon request submit a fixed price tender for the Development Stage. Tenders from other parties for the Development Stage may be invited. The Client is under no commitment to proceed with the Development Stage as this point.

·        Development Stage

The systems is developed at GRH, and at completion installed at the Client’s premises

·        Annual Support

An Annual Support contract is offered for on-going hot-line support.
